The Questions and Answer Choices

specific reference SR, refers to a specific numbered line, paragraph, or sentence; answer may not be there but it should be your starting point
concept reference CR, refer you to ideas or themes in the passage
global reference GR, ask about passage as a whole; likely to be half the questions
Must Be True/Most Supported will be in every passage; answer choice that is proven by the info in the passage (fact test); no outside info
Strengthen Questions identify what you are trying to strengthen; personalize argument; look for weakness
Weaken Questions isolate and assess the position you are attacking; know details of passage; accept answer choices as given (even new info)
Parallel Reasoning Questions identify answer choice most similar in structure to reasoning in passage; forces you to evaluate five different arguments
Cannot Be True Questions polar opposite of must be true; reverse weaken questions
to be prephrase answers be ______ and ______ active, aggresive
