Wirtz Plane Geometry Carnegie Lesson 1.2

Rectangle (p13) A parallelogram with four right angles.
Width of a rectangle (p13) The side to side measurement of a rectangle May also be called the base.
Length of a rectangle (p13) The top to bottom measurement of a rectangle. May also be called the height.
Base of a geometric figure (p13) The side or face to which an altitude is drawn, or is considered to be drawn.
Height of a parallelogram (p13) The length of a perpendicular line segment that connects one of the corners of the parallelogram to the opposite side.
Parallelogram (p13) A quadrilateral in which both pairs of opposite sides are parallel.
