Stomach Muscular bag that squeezes food and acid together (mech & chem)
Small Intestine Long, skinny organ that absorbs food's nutrients into blood because it is lined with millions of villi (chem)
Large Intestine Short, Wide organ that absorbs water and vitamins from leftover chyme (chem)
Rectum Stores feces (undigested solid waste)
Accessory Organs Food doesn't actually go through, add chemicals to help digestion
Accessory Organ Ex. Liver, gallbladder, pancreas, appendix
Gallbladder Stores bile, then sends it to small intestines
Pancreas Secretes enzymes & neutralizes stomach acid (chem)
