1.Jim Crow Laws Segregation Laws after reconstruction, that kept whites and blacks apart.
2.Poll Tax Sum of money that had to be paid before somone could vote.
3.Literacy Test Reading and Writing tests formerly used in some southern states to prevent African Americans from voting.
4.Grandfather Clause Law to disqualify African Americans voters by allowing to vote only men whose fathers and gradnfathers voted before 1867.
5.Spoils System Practice in political party in power is giving jobs and appointments to is suporters, rather than poeple based on qualifications.( A.J.)
6.Civil Service Goverment departments and their nonelected employees.
7.Pendleton Civil Service 1883, Law that created a civil service system for a federal goverment in an attempt to hire emplopyes on a merit system rather than on the spoils system.
8.Gold Standerd Policy of designating montetary units in terms of value in gold.
9.Grange Farmers organization formed after the civil war.
10.Populist Party Peoples Party, political party formed in 1891 to advocate a larger money supply formed and other economic reforms.
